Florida notaries are authorized to solemnize weddings when complying with the appropriate statutory requirements.

Maximum fee: Same as the clerk of the circuit court — currently up to $30 Full wedding ceremony starts at $100

While Florida law sets maximum notarial act fees, a notary may lawfully charge additional fees not set by statute if agreed to in advance, such as:

  • Travel      fees (common for mobile services) $50 
  • Wait      time or scheduling fees — arranged upfront with the signer $20 per      hour
  • Convenience      or administrative fees — may be charged if disclosed before service

Note: These extra charges are not state-mandated and are separate from the notary fee cap. Always disclose them to the client before performing the service.
