 The State of Florida requires that instructors hold a licensed DS Training School in order to teach Unarmed Security Officer training. To support this requirement, we have published a comprehensive textbook dedicated specifically to this process.

When you enroll, you receive all required materials needed to apply for a Florida DS School, including files, exams, and complete course documentation. Our course is 100% approved by the State of Florida under license number DS3500085, and our textbook is a direct mirror of the course content, ensuring full consistency and compliance.

We also provide hands-on guidance throughout the application process to help ensure accuracy and approval. Most DS School applications are approved within 2–4 weeks.

 The author of the textbook, Dr. Nicholas Cooley, PhD, brings more than two decades of experience in private security and is the founder of the largest and longest-operating DS training school in North Florida—a school that continues to operate successfully today.

Dr. Cooley is also the former owner of a large private security agency and the founder of the largest training school in Leon County, giving him real-world operational and instructional expertise. With more than 40 years of teaching and leadership experience, he has developed and published the textbook used in this program.

As a licensed school owner, you may choose to sell the textbook during your courses as an additional revenue stream. While the textbook is not required, it is highly recommended for students to reinforce course content and improve learning outcomes.

For just $2,500, you receive guided, step-by-step assistance throughout the application process, along with a complete, ready-to-submit package. This includes 10 textbooks to sell during your classes, an approved exam, study guides, and an approved slide deck containing all required course materials.

Everything provided is designed to meet State of Florida requirements, giving you all the tools necessary to submit your DS School application correctly the first time and move confidently toward approval.

 For an additional $1,000, you will receive instruction on setting up and delivering your courses online, including guidance on online exams and Zoom-based instruction. Please note that monthly platform fees apply for online testing services and Zoom and are billed separately.
